With the arrival of Autumn right around the corner, I must admit that I already miss the long summer evenings and the warm weather that London has been blessed with these past two months! (but don’t get me wrong… I am still most excited for sweater weather A.K.A cozy, over-sized everything type of weather).
The culottes trousers made a huge hit this past season with everyone around the world rocking them… and I honestly fell in love with every culottes outfit I spotted out on the high street. Navy culottes paired with a pair of trainers and a white tee for that casual look, or blush pink culottes paired with thin strappy black heels for a more timeless and classic look!
So when I found this pair of black and white culottes lying around Zara, I just had to grab it! I was waiting in the usual long queue to pay, while contemplating long and hard whether I should actually make the purchase (because I kid you not, I am the most indecisive person ever created). I also didn’t really know whether I could pull them off, but then assured myself that I could just return them if I was still unsure after trying them on at home… Clearly, I decided to keep ’em cause they are so darn cute. You can style them in endless of ways and this is one of the more casual ways I rocked mine.

I must admit that the culottes trend is one of my favourites of summer 2016 (alongside the off the shoulder look that everyone has been rocking so beautifully this hot, summer season). I never thought that I would start rocking my own culottes but honestly, they are so comfortable to wear and give you an instant chic look…so it’s an automatic win win.
I also threw on a burgundy, faux suede jacket from H&M to keep me warm and to add some extra colour to the look. As for my accessory, I used this bag that is the perfect size. It is made of three compartments with two being zipped on either side and a useful slit in the middle for quicker access to your essentials! It looks small but it fits a ton. The shape and texture of the bag gives it a vintage vibe, with the pink pom-pom adding some extra detail and a pop of colour.
Okay as we now part ways, we must also part ways with summer! Just take away with you all of the memories you made and treasure them for keepsake.
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
